The project involved the re-use of a 24-acre urban, brownfield site for a large corporate facility. The site was located directly on the Thames River in a designated flood hazard zone. The size and character of the site posed significant challenges to designing a system for storm water management. Our primary role was to design the storm water system in coordination with the owner/ architectural/ engineering/ construction management team. Other responsibilities included site surveys, construction layout and monitoring installation of 4,000 foundation piles, preparation of local and state agency permitting documents and liaison with those agencies. Most recently we provided additional site surveys, structural engineering and permitting services for design and construction of facility modifications.
