The purpose of this 157 acre survey was to facilitate the sale of the property by the owners to the State of Connecticut. The same requirements as for the Haley Farm State Park Expansion survey applied to the completion of this project. This project also included the delineation and mapping of extensive inland wetlands and water courses throughout the property. Key factors affecting the complexity of this project included: the determination of Mean High Water for the portions of the perimeter with littoral boundaries, the recreation of the original DOT construction baseline survey to establish the portions of the perimeter that follow the state road right of way line that was never bounded, the juxtaposition of several platted subdivisions that abutted the property, the proper placement of boundaries for parcels that had previously been conveyed out of the original parcel and the connection of the survey to the Connecticut Coordinate System.
