This site is located at Groton’s “gateway” interchange– U.S. Route 1 and Interstate I-95. Development of this site presented many challenges with respect to off-site road improvements, associated access management, traffic issues and stormwater management along U.S. Route 1, Groton’s most heavily traveled route. As prime consultant to the owner, DiCesare-Bentley Engineers, Inc. was responsible for concept planning, surveys, site design, permitting and construction services. As part of the effort, this site design was coordinated with the adjacent hotel and financial institution projects for which DiCesare-Bentley Engineers, Inc. also acted as the primary civil engineer / land surveying firm.
